Companies in the field of industry, agriculture and services produced approximately 430 million gross output. In the private sector has produced about 80% of production, the number of active entities exceeds 3600 units. Currently the production infrastructure reform dynamic in the region is undergoing major changes in industrial base. There is a severe shortage of foreign direct investment, encouraging new industries and markets direct to our European partners. Trends in the regional economy are:
substantially reduces the share of the lead industry - Manufacturing industry - from 60 percent in 2000 to 40 percent in 2001 due to decline in production of large structure for the regional economy enterprises; trade and repair sector has an upward trend as its relative share increased from 25 percent in 2000 to 28 percent - in 2001 this trend is typical for most areas and can be explained in relatively developed infrastructure of this sector and the remaining opportunities for extensive deployment; third largest sector in the regional economy is the production of heat in proportion of 9% in 2001 The main reason for this growth are adjustments in the prices of electricity and thermal products, albeit with less burden upward trend in the last three years show mining industry sectors, construction, transport and communications; negligible share and no increase in its share in the sales structure are the sectors of agriculture, forestry, tourism, financial intermediation business and real estate.
